The couple’s connection began in 2001, when the singer invited his future wife to star in the music video for his song “I’m Gonna Miss Her.” He had been smitten with her years earlier after seeing her performance in the 1991 film “Father of the Bride.”

The bar served as a creative space for Brad, but the pandemic in 2020 brought unexpected changes to their routines. His usually packed touring schedule was reduced to just three socially distanced drive-in concerts. Despite the challenges, he continued writing and even created a Zoom video for his single “No I in Beer.”

Meanwhile, Kimberly faced her own professional setbacks, as filming projects for her were put on hold. Reflecting on the time spent together, her husband joked in a joint interview, “I figured out I really like being around you!”

The Store became more than just a community project—it was a vision Brad and Kimberly had nurtured for five years. Kimberly shared that by the end of their first year, the nonprofit had already provided nearly 1.3 million meals to those in need, demonstrating the impact of their dedication to helping others.
